Why did you choose to write in your particular field or genre?
Life is…well Life. Whether it’s work, kids, family, whatever…I love writing romantic comedies and cowboys, they’re my escape from the world around me. I can create a handsome cowboy or comical situations, I can create characters to get even with, I can fall in love every single day and never get tired of it. I love to think of a character, then search of a picture to match how I see them…when I find the right picture the story practically writes itself.
What do you like to read in your free time?
Janet Evanovich is probably my #1 favorite…I swear she wrote Stephanie after following me, I just wish I had a Ranger and Morelli to make life more interesting.
Greg Iles is another but totally opposite. I love his stories, his characters, and the southern locations. If you haven’t read him, it’s a must.
What projects are you working on at the present?
I’m working on book 4 of the Twisted Sisters Club, revision Jill’s story. I’m working on a novella for a box set to be released in July. It’s the prequel to the woman who will be the Heroine in Dane Bronco’s story. And then I’ll be writing Dane’s story for The Bronco Brother’s series.
What do your plans for future projects include?
After the above, I still have to finish off that cowboy series with: Clayton, Quinton, Virgil, Wyatt, Logan, and Darcy. I just love this family!
FUN STUFF
Do you have any strange writing habits (like standing on your head or writing in the shower)?
Sort of…when I’m stuck on where to take a story or create chaos. I read what I’ve written then go to sleep. 99 times out of 100, I’ll dream about it and have my answer in the morning. I love when this happens.
What is your go-to method for getting rid of hiccups?
I drink from the back side of a glass, upside down. Hold a glass of water, put your mouth on the far side, bend your head over and take sever swallows. It’s awkward at first but works every time.
Do you have a favorite Girl Scout Cookie?
Peanut Butter
