About

The Librarian is a nickname I got from friends who found out I was going to library school. They fancied me some kind of studious book nerd, eyeballs deep in piles of old tomes on a table in a dark room lit by only the desk lamp in front of me as I spent laborious hours pouring over volume after volume of classical literature, thick rimmed glasses pushed up on my nose. And the name just stuck. Any time someone referred to me in conversation it was, “Oh, you mean The Librarian?” And so it began.

Little did they know that the only books that I binged were the kind with bare chested men and couples in scandalous embraces on the covers, not to mention the ones I wouldn’t even be caught reading out in public places! I was a romance junkie. And so the nickname took on a whole new life when I started a live radio show on the Authors on the Air Global Radio Network in 2014 called “The Librarian”. The new era of the librarian has begun. We can be nerdy, dirty, and flirty…if we want to be. The show ran for three years with a live guest romance author every week. It was so much fun!

The other side of my heart is for KidLit. I was a teacher (it seems like a lifetime ago) before making my way to library school. I’ve spent 12+ years in librarianship for youth, and there is no better feeling than putting a book in a kiddo’s hands and having them come back to tell you how much they loved it.

I currently live in Central Texas with my very own Hero, my offspring, his offspring and an insane doggo. We are living our own HEA having raised six children between us (can anyone say “Brady Bunch”??). When I’m not working among the books, I am reading for fun or reviews, and taking courses on editing. I’m a sucker for romance, and love to hear how couples met. Origin stories are everything! Someday, I hope to write a love story of my own.
